The Heart of our Product
The Jetsâ„¢ Vacuumaratorâ„¢ pump is at the heart of our vacuum product. The Vacuumaratorâ„¢ pump features an integrated macerator and is able to transport sewage from the toilet, macerate it into tiny particles and pump it away, all in one operation. The pump is made of high quality materials, and is available in several models with different vacuum capacities.
The Vacuumaratorâ„¢ pump can handle any combination of liquid and air. Several Vacuumaratorâ„¢ pumps can be built into a preassembled unit which also gives operational redundancy. Units can be tailored to specific requirements with regard to vacuum generating capacity and size.
Water Usage
Due to the science of vacuum, our toilets use only 0.8 liters of water per flush, compared to as much as 8 -10 liters of water that is used in a conventional toilet and 6-8 liters in high efficiency fresh water flushing toilets. The result is not only a huge fresh water saving but also considerable reduction of the sewage volume that thereby allows us to transport, treat and dispose of it in a cost effective and environmentally friendly manner.
Transporting Sewage
The basic principle behind a vacuum toilet system is to use differences in air pressure to transport sewage from toilets and urinals (sometimes also greywater). When a toilet is flushed, a valve in the toilet opens. Approximately 60 litres of air along with about 0.8 liters of water is sucked into the piping system because of the vacuum present in the piping. The water and sewage create a "slug", which is transported through the piping system because of the different air pressure levels in front of and behind the slug. The Black water/slug is macerated and pumped to a sewage treatment plant or a collecting tank. It is that simple.
