Founded in 2015, by Akshat Gupta and Keith Mascarenhas, Samatech is a clean technology company with a vision to introduce sustainable and clean technologies to the Indian Subcontinent. At its core, the founders believe in the urgent need for humanity to employ and invent technologies that are smart, cost effective, clean and sustainable in nature.
Our fundamental belief lies within nature’s sciences and the ability to use nature's intelligence to invent technologies that will be smarter for consumers and help our planet conserve its resources. This is the need of the hour.
Given this mission and core values, Samatech partnered with Jetsâ„¢ of Norway to introduce vacuum sanitation technology within the Indian Market. The basic principle behind a vacuum toilet system is to use differences in air pressure to transport sewage from toilets to the sewage disposal/treatment plants and thereby significantly reduce the use of fresh water to do the same.
Samatech realizes that the current sanitation technologies used in the market are close to obsolete and results in a criminal waste of the precious commodity of fresh water. In a nation like India that is already starved for fresh water, vacuum sanitation is not a luxury for the intelligent community, but rather a smart technology that is a necessity for all.
With this back drop, Samatech India, will launch is first Pilot Vacuum Toilet project together with the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai, on the 18th of September 2015 at the famous Ganesh Visarajan on Chowpatty Beach in Mumbai, India.
